The second part of The Voice Australia was the battle rounds. Teams of 12 would be cut to 6. There was 3 nights of battle rounds on Channel 9 and over 3 million people watched The Voice.
The first night of battle rounds were off with a BANG! The first battle was Karise Eden vs Paula Parore from team SEAL. They sang Back to Black by the late Amy Winehouse. Here is their peformance. PS Karise Eden won that battle!!!
The next good battle was Prinnie vs Mahalia for team JOEL. I thought it was the toughest battle and the coaches thought that. That sang Tainted Love by Soft Cell. Prinnie Stevens won but I thought Mahalia Barnes should have won. HERE IS THE PEFORMANCE!!
My last great battle was ……….. Kelsie Rimmer vs Brittany Cairns. This was a great battle and 2 great artists from team KEITH! The song they sang was Turning Tables by ADELE!! Brittany Cairns won by a slight inch according to Keith. Here is the peformance!!
Next week I will do a post on the live show and I have had breaking news that Carmen Smith from Team Joel has quit the show because of Guy Sebastian releasing a music video with Carmen in it. We are sorry for Carmen and hope she goes well in the future.

On Monday night we saw the heartfelt story of Rachael Leahcar. She was born diagnosed with something that leave’s u 90% blind. She is 18 and she is from Adelaide. This video might say to you “She is a very good singer”. Here is the video. PS The song she sings is La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf.
We will skip Tuesday night, but we will go straight away go to Sunday night where Jimmy Barnes’ daughter Mahalia Barnes stunned the crowd with her peformance of Proud Mary!!! Here is the video!!

Welcome to a another edition in What’s Happening In Sport?
Sadly this week we lost one of our greats of the AFL. Jim Stynes died on Tuesday at the age of 45. Jim Stynes was sent to Australia as “The Irish experiment”. He played for the Melbourne Football Club and he was the first ever player from outside Australia to win the Brownlow medal, holds the record for most consecutive games with 244 and he played 264 games in his career. He was honoured with the Order of Australia medal in 2007. And he was inducted into the Australian Football Hall Of Fame in 2003.
Jenson Button last week won the Qantas F1 Australian Grand Prix last week at Albert Park in Melbourne. He won after starting 2nd and he won his 3rd Aussie Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel came 2nd and Lewis Hamilton came 3rd while home boy Mark Webber came 4th which is a PB at Albert Park.
In swimming Ian Thorpe has not made it in the Olympic team but Libby Trickett has after comeback!! Also Liesel Jones is in a 4th Olympics after qualifying. Well done for everyone who qualified for the Olympics!!!
And finally this week in Cricket Australia and the West Indies have played out the 9th tie in ODI history. Australia go 220 after 50 overs and then the West Indies got bowled out for 220 on the last ball!!!!!

Welcome to my first article of What’s happening in Sport? We are going to be focusing on the things that are happening in Sport.
Firstly with the AFL, the NAB Cup is undering as on Friday A surprise win for Richmond against Hawthorn and all teams that played on Friday night all won a game. On Saturday night the Greater Western Sydney Giants (GWS Giants) played their first game for the year as they are preparing for their debut AFL season. They unfortunately lost both games against Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs but only a margin of 8 points which is a great result. And on Sunday night West Coast won both their matches against Fremantle and Essendon. On Friday night Geelong will be playing their first game of the season against St Kilda and Sydney which I will have a post on.
Now onto Cricket and Ricky Ponting has just been dropped from the national team for the ODI’s The Commonwealth Bank Series is going well with Australia currently leading on the ladder and in the last match Australia beat World Champions India by 110 runs. Go Aussies!
And in motor racing Chad Reed has been injured in a nasty fall in round 7 of the AMA Supercross Championship. He has injured a lot of spots in his body including a torn ACL and 2 broken ribs.

Hi Everyone, Of course as you saw Geelong won while I was there. But now I am going to show you LMFAO’s Sexy and I Know It music video. LMFAO have been around since 2009 with their album Party Rock. They got a bit crazy with that album so they released this year Sorry for Party Rocking. They had Party Rock Anthem as their first single and that was a massive hit going to #1 on the global chart for a while. And also on iTunes. Their second single Champagne Showers which was alright but their recent hit Sexy and I Know It has hit #1 everywhere. Let me show you their music video for Sexy and I Know It.
Please leave a comment on how good the music video is!

Another leg has passed in The Amazing Race Australia and we have 3 teams remaining. It started off with Matt and Tom leaving the start first because they won the last leg.
What they had to do was that they had to fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka and then go to Gangaramara Temple where they will recieve a blessing and then after that had been done they would receive their next clue. The other teams Jeff and Luke, Tyler and Nathan and Sam and Renae all started their leg but Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan’s plane left first. They stopped in Rome and then they had to quickly dash to their next flight to go to Colombo.
Matt and Tom and Jeff and Luke’s flight was second which went to Jordan and then a 5 hour layover and then going to Colombo. While the 2 teams were in there layover they were offered a hotel to stay at for the layover.
Both Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan got there first but it hadn’t opened yet. It was opening at 6am so they had to sleep there until it opened. It opened and Sam and Renae had their blessing done first so they got their clue first.
It was a detour and it was between Count or Carry. In Count, teams traveled to a nearby fish market where they had to find a marked stall with a basket full of fish. They had to count the fish, and provide the correct total to receive their next clue. In Carry, teams had to use a wooden trolley to transfer 15 blocks of ice unbroken through a busy market to a specific stall to receive their next clue. The detour’s were held at a fish market in Colombo. Sam and Renae went for Carry. Then Tyler and Nathan got their’s done and they also chose Carry.
Matt and Tom and Jeff and Luke’s flight arrived in Colombo and they went straight to the Temple. They both got their blessing done and they both also chose Carry. Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan got there first and they started their detour. They both got it done and they got their next clue. The clue was to travel by train in 3rd class to Galle, Sri Lanka and then go to the Galle Fort where they will find their next clue. Matt and Tom and Jeff and Luke got there second and they were sucessful with it and they got their next clue.
All teams got to the train station and all got 3rd class tickets except for Jeff and Luke who got 2nd class tickets so when they got to Galle they had to take a 10 minute time penalty. They got to Galle so Jeff and Luke’s time penalty started. They got to Galle and they got their next clue. The clue was that teams had to go to the beach where they found a chest with a combination lock and a clue asking for Sri Lanka’s year of gaining independence. This opened a second chest that asked the year of birth of Sri Lanka’s first Prime Minister Don Stephen Senanayake. The second chest contained their next clue.
Tyler and Nathan and Sam and Renae got their next clue. The answers were for the first one was 1948 and the second one was 1884. The next clue was that they have go a bus to the town of Ambalangoda and then they had to a mask store and then choose one and then they had to find that mask in a street festival and then take that one back and then if it was right they will recieve their next clue. Matt and Tom then got their’s done a couple of minutes after Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan.
Jeff and Luke’s time penalty ended and they quickly got there and they also got their’s done so they got their next clue. Sam and Renae and Tyler and Nathan got there first and then they chose their mask. They got to the festival and they found their mask so they got it back to the mask shop where they got their next clue. It was a roadblock.
In the leg’s Leg’s Roadblock, one team member had to head back to Colombo and find Trendy Connection. They must then use a professional sewing machine to properly sew a shirt before receiving their next clue. They had to go on a registered taxi and they went on a private taxi. So when the 2 teams got to the pit stop they had to get a 20 minute time penalty. Matt and Tom and Jeff and Luke got their’s done soon after so they got their next clue.
The people who did the roadblock were Renae, Tyler, Matt and Jeff. They all got there and Sam and Renae got their’s done first so they got their next clue. It was that they had to go the next pit stop which was at the Independence Square in Colombo. Then Tyler got his done next so he got his next clue. Sam and Renae got to the pit stop first but they had to take the 20 minute time penalty. Then Tyler and Nathan got there and they also had to take the time penalty. It was left with Jeff and Luke and Matt and Tom still sewing.
Sam and Renae’s time penalty so they were team number 1 so they didn’t have to take the 30 minute penalty from the last leg. Their prize was a $5,000 home entertainment system from Bing Lee. Jeff and Luke and Matt and Tom finished their’s at the same time so it was a race to the pit stop also with Tyler and Nathan’s time penalty still running. But Tyler and Nathan’s time penalty ended so they were team number 2. And Jeff and Luke were team number 3 so they were in the last leg of the race. Matt and Tom got eliminated so that was their last leg.
The next leg is the final leg so whoever finishes first will win $250,000.
